How and where do you Squiz?
About 6am every morning, in your podcast feed and inbox :)

What keeps you busy?
See above! I'm usually up at around 3am preparing each day's Squiz, and then it's bull-at-a-gate for the rest of the day on our various other projects. One of the many wonderful things about working at The Squiz is that you're never bored.

What do you like to do in your downtime?
I'm usually ravenously consuming some form of entertainment. You name it, I'm probably into it - TV, movies, video games, board games, professional wrestling, musical theatre, and of course sport. Then there's walking my dog, Fiadh - the light of my life.

Give us 4 people (living or dead) at your ultimate dinner party
Composer Stephen Sondheim, satirist Tom Lehrer, broadcaster (and quizmaster) Victoria Coren Mitchell and comedian Shaun Micallef. That's a seriously witty group.

What's something you've seen/read/listened to recently that you'd recommend?
I recommend the same 2 board games to everyone: Codenames and Wavelength. They're both fantastic party games that lead you to make connections - sometimes absurd ones - with your friends and family. If you're dealing with a group that doesn't play board games much, Wavelength is the go, but for people who love words and are a bit more competitive, Codenames is a classic for a reason.

What's been in your social feeds lately?
I have brute forced my algorithm to be almost entirely cute animal videos, because when you spend all day in the news, you do need a break from the world when you hop on socials. If an otter has made friends with a walrus, I'm all over it.

What do you consider to be an overrated virtue?
Niceness. I think someone more erudite than me has said something like this, but kindness is much more valuable than niceness. Niceness is great, but it's also a lot easier than kindness. Plus, beware of anyone who describes themselves as 'nice' - like being funny, it's something you should never have to say about yourself.

What's one thing you would tell your younger self?
Go to the gym, man.
